I get so many questions about where people should start when that are learning to crochet and how did I learn to make such beautiful things. So I decided to make a list of my 5 favorite quick and easy crochet projects that are great for beginners. Every title has a link to the patterns I use to make each item. They are all free patterns and are very easy to follow. Many of them even have videos to go with them. Take your time and enjoy making these cute and easy crochet patterns for beginners. This is one of my favorite hat patterns because It works up really fast. Most patterns for this hat says that it can work up in a bout and hour which is awesome if you are making these for a family or as holiday gifts. I make one of these hats every winter for my dad and he says they are his favorite. It only uses one stitch and once you have made one you will be rolling these out for everyone in your family. Its a unisex pattern so it works for everyone and if you want to add a little something extra, put a pom on the top and pow adorable crochet hat. The one pictured below is a size 0-3 months.

This scarf can easily be done in a day once you get a hang of the pattern. I love to make these scarfs with a skein of Caron cakes yarn, especially variated yarn. Its perfect to wear with all black outfits to add some extra color and also keeps me warm. I get tons of complements on it as well. I have a hard time parting with these scarfs and once you see how cute they are you will too.
This ear warmer was the very first project that I made when I started out crocheting, In fact I still have the one I made and wear it in the winter time. This pattern is made in a round so its easy to follow.
